“Spacious, characterful, welcoming English B&B”

I would thoroughly recommend the old Vicarage as an extremely comfortable place to stay in St. Ives. The breakfasts were excellent. The room was very spacious and clean and it was very peaceful and comfortable.

“A Very Pleasant Stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 October 2010

The Old Vicarage is set back from the main throng of St Ives approximately 1 mile from the main harbour. The location is peaceful and the owners very welcoming and polite. I enjoyed an excellent nights sleep in a comfortble and spacious bed. Bathroom facilities were clean and befitting of a mid range B&B. Breakfast (full english) was excellent. All in all, a brief but pleasant stay and recommended to anyone seeking a good value stay close to St Ives.

“Charming Gothic Victorian home, would recommend”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 October 2010

We enjoyed our weekend stay here (once we found it!) Former vicarage with gardens, sitting room, and honesty bar for guests. We had instructions for getting in to our room had we arrived early. It's within walking distance of the town centre and sea front, so once there we did not need to take the car out again (it's advisable not to drive round St Ives town centre unless you really have to). A word of warning : if there is a choice, try not to park under the trees, as there are some very prolific birds up there (I still haven't completely cleaned the car five weeks later!) Breakfast was excellent and the dining room very elegant.

“Lovely and relaxing”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 July 2009

Having stayed at the Old Vicaridge only earlier this month, we have to say that our stay was a little marred by the standard of the beds, we did feel that for a 4* B&B the attention to detail was a little lacking, The checking in was ok amit the fact you cannot arrive between the hours for 2pm/4pm. and when you have driven a long way all you need is your room. However the breakfasts where superb.
The meet and greet needs to be addressed and this would make all the difference
A lovley cup of tea on arrival would not go amiss.
