Travelled to St Ives for a wedding. Roy greeted us at the front of the property and offered to assist with our belongings. We were shown our room, the en suite front room which has fantastic views of St Ives. Room was great, full of Roy's art and free standing furniture. Roy kindly offered us a lift to the wedding venue and couldn't have been more helpful. No breakfast being offered is a plus for me, makes you get up and explore St Ives where there is no shortage of breakfasts on offer. St Ives narrow streets are only minutes away, literally 2 minutes which was perfect. It was only a swift visit for the wedding but No 8 did its bit in wetting my whistle to re visit St Ives and surrounding areas. If you like cosy, quirky & friendly service then No8 ticks the boxes, Thanks Roy & Vickie for an enjoyable stay.....

We stayed at The Loft (self catering apartment attached to No 8 Windsor Terrace B&B) and we were delighted with the cleanliness, location etc. We were left to our own devices, though the owners offered help packing and unpacking the car and were very friendly and particularly accommodating to our situation.
You get a private parking space which, if you have ever been to St Ives you would know, was an absolute godsend!
The property is located in a very central location - being less than a five minute walk into town, but is tucked away enough to not be noisy.
This was a last minute find for us - we were desperate to get away, but couldn't find anything that suited us. We needed a self catering apartment with a separate bedroom as we were travelling with our baby daughter. Normally, The Loft doesn't accept children, but on this occasion they did and as a result, we have found a little gem of a place that we will happily revisit year after year (when baby is old enough to be accepted again!!!!)

We stayed for 1 week at No 8. As soon as we arrived we were given our own parking spot for the duration. this was priceless. A 2 minute walk from town so couldnt really get much closer to the shops, restaurants etc. On arrival we found milk and beer in the fridge which was a great touch as it made us feel welcome. The beach could hardly be closer - a 2 minute walk! Great facilities, not like many other B&Bs. a huge DVD selection for those english rainy days!

It is unsurprising all the reviews below are so positive, but it should have more than 4 stars based on my experence there. Most of the positives have been mentioned below and my only reluctance to shout it's praises from the rooftops is the knowledge that it has limited capacity and therefore booking may be neccessary further and further in advance. Although long term bookings are always neccessary, no matter what you do, when travelling to St Ives in the summer, I'd prefer to see this remain under the category hidden gem. I can only think of 2 places as good as this that I've been to (and I've been to a lot) and none better.
