We have been going to St Ives for many years,usually two or three times a year, to supplement our main vacation abroad.We had never stayed at the Rookery before, although we have known Ron, the proprieter, to speak to, for some time. We booked in advance for a short,4 night, break and stayed in room no.3.This room has two large windows that look onto the harbour area,and also out to sea.You also look over the bus terminal turning area, so if you are into "people" watching before you go out you've got it made.The room is a good size and the adjoining en-suite is also well proportioned with a large shower.The bed is large and comfortable, and everywhere is spotlessly clean.Ron and Barbara provide a number of options for breakfast;traditional full English along with a number of other options.Ron is quite a character with a good sense of humour,and once everyone has been served with their breakfast, he will appear from the kitchen for some light hearted banter.We enjoyed our stay and will be returning, hopefully,for our winter break in February.If your looking for a top class B&B then you will not find one better than The Rookery.
