Unfortunately we arrived the day the manager had been suspended, however, this did not affect our stay. The other staff were extremely polite and helpful. The room was excellent and the bathroom spotlessly clean. Dinner and breakfast were of first class quality. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area.

We recently had a 3 day stay at The Atlantic, which was thoroughly enjoyable. We stayed in the large bay window room with beautiful views over Carbis Bay. The standard of the room was good, although a little tired decor wise, but it is the end of the season. The bathroom was bijou but very clean with lovely fluffy towels. We only had breaksfast at the hotel, so cannot comment on evening meals, but the breakfast was superb. Service was also excellent and in general all the staff were very helpful and attentive.
Our only criticism relates to the bar, which on occasions is used by non residents for pool evenings and whilst we understand the need to generate income in these difficult times we felt that this is at the expense of residents comfort. Why can't an area, for example the restaurant reception area, which has a bar be made available to residents to enjoy a quiet drink?

I booked a weekend at The Atlantic for my partners birthday as a surprise. We were very impressed with the large, comfortable room with amazing views from the bay window out across Carbis Bay. The staff were all very friendly and went out of their way to help me organise a very special weekend. We returned from St Ives engaged and will never forget our weekend away and the genuine caring attitude of the people we met.

This is a great base for exploring the area. The room was standard and small, but quiet. It had the tiniest bathroom that I ever came accross. For one person, the room was fine. I had expected the hotel to be a bit closer to the St. Ives (30 minutes stiff walk), but if it were, I would have missed the spectacular coast path from Carbis Bay to St. Ives. The staff was very helpful and provided quite some information for my sightseeing.
As I arrived late at night I had someproblems to find the hotel as there is no illuminated hotel sign, the restaurant was dark and the parking lot near invisible at night.
The restaurant is definitely one or even two categories above the hotel, in ambience as well as the food which was just great and I looked forward to it every evening.
