“Fabulous location,bijou and quirky”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 August 2010

We stayed in a self catering apartment called 'The Potters'.
We arrived by train from Portsmouth and walked to ' The Potters' which took 5 minutes.
We were early but Emily was happy for us to leave our luggage while we went for a wander.
The Potters is in a shared courtyard. You are seperate from the B&B but staff are available if needed. We were there 3 days and seemed to have the courtyard to ourselves. We had our breakfast in the courtyard.
It is tiny but we loved it.We left the bed set up once we had done it.You need to keep 'The Potters'orderly to work.
You have a microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge and basic kitchen utensils which was fine as we eat out anyway. You could easily make alot more in the kitchen if prepared.
Being six foot tall, hooks on the ceiling beam would have been handy. Also a shelf in the shower would be great.
The internet connection is free and quick.
You are within a few hundred yards of the Town centre,(Nat West bank, etc).
It is a bit pricey but the location is fantastic.
We intend staying again :0)

“Lovely B&B”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 July 2010

This B&B is in a great location, it's really good value for money. I like the way it has been decorated, the rooms are pretty. My boyfriend and I went for a night's stay with a couple of friends (we had the place to ourselves as the third room was vacant at the time). Our room was smaller but perfectly fine, our friends' room was the larger and better as the sink was in the bathroom rather than the bedroom (just a personal preference!), but both were really nice.

The breakfast room is pleasant too - the breakfast was lovely, a lot of choice and a cooked breakfast went down really well! There was a range of DVDs to choose from and watch in your room. Overall a good choice of B&B for St Ives.

A comfortable little bed and breakfast in the heart of beautiful St. Ives. Location could hardly be better, room was small but comfortable and we had everything we needed. Location was great. Emily was very friendly and we both thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Would love to go back to St. Ives to stay longer and explore more.

“Tre Pol Pen B&B”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 June 2010

We stayed at this B&B for 2 nights the location was great right in the town and near the beach. Our check in was great we came early but as the room was ready were allowed to check in. Our room was of a good size clean but in need of redecorating, the bathroom was clean but the shower door was broken and there was black on the ceiling. The downstairs breakfast room was lovely fresh and clean and had possibly been decorated recently, hopefully they will be doing the bedrooms next. The breakfast was very good and the owner very welcoming. We would stay again and hopefully by then the rooms/bathroom will have been refurbished.

“Smashing location, brilliant food, lovely hosts....what more can you ask?”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 November 2009

I take a trip down to St Ives twice a year just to chill out a bit; I've stayed with Andy and Emily at Tre-Pol-Pen on three occasions, and it's been brilliant every time. The room is clean, cosy and comfortable, and the cooked breakfast is fantastic.... just the thing to keep you going if you are out walking all day.
The location is right in the centre of town so you have easy access to any pubs or restaurants and the main car park is only 5 mins walk away. This is a perfect place for couples or solo travellers to stay who want to avoid the normal tourist traps and large hotels. Andy and Emily will really make you feel welcome, and you can just relax and do your own thing. Have a good trip!
