“Great quality option for attending weddings at Treganna Castle”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 August 2009

We fortunately stumbled upon 'Jamies' on general web search after initially booking Treganna castle (as we were attending a wedding there) ..... This B&B oozes quality and class. The owners are delightful and extremely helpful. Worth every penny more than a standard B&B and made our holiday a relaxing an enjoyable stay. We booked for 5 nights - and had the downstairs 'suite' room which has its own entrance and also own siting room - which is a particularly nice for general relax. Walking distance from St Ives - probably 30 mins (downhill on way there) - and cab rides £5 into St Ivex maximum. Great base to stay. Views of the Carbis Bay from breakfast room start the day well!

“Great welcome, brilliant food and stunning views”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 July 2008

Jamie and Felicity have created a wonderful B&B in a brilliant location. The decor is lovely, views stunning and you are made to feel very welcome.

We stayed in the White bedroom with views over Carbis Bay and the gardens. This is actually a suite with a double and two singles in another room, so would be suitable for a family with (well behaved) children.

St Ives is a 20 minute walk along the coast, with its excellent restaurants and the Tate gallery. You need to be reasonably fit, but it is a lovely walk. Taxis to St Ives were about £4 (July 2008) and they all know Jamies.

Carbis Bay itself is a lovely sandy beach with cafe, etc. About 5 minutes walk.

The breakfast room has sea views and the large round table allows for relaxed conversation. Jamie and Felicity are very knowledgeable about the local area and things to do. Food is organic and local where possible.

An excellent and relaxing break . We will be back

“Marvellous hosts”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 April 2008

This is a small and lovely place to stay by Carbis bay, away from the crowded alleys of St Ives in high season and close enough to walk there every day if you wish, if you are reasonably able-bodied. The hosts are delightful and accomplished - they made me feel most welcome and sad to leave, after just a very short stay of a few nights. This is really for adults who appreciate the fine things- stylish and comfortable decor, well chosen furnishings, super breakfast with lots of choice, and the books and art - these all add to the "country house by the sea" feel. The breakfast table is a communal experience, overseen by Felicity and Jamie with panache, enthusiasm and wit - and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

“gorgeous B&b”

Stayed here by chance when we were trying to find last minute bank holiday accommodation and they had had a cancellation. Everything about Jamie's is fantastic. From the warm welcome given by Jamie & Felicity, to the views and the top quality accommodation. We had a large bedroom with spotless decor, a lovely bathroom and a comfortable lounge area. Breakfasts are delicious, all organic and served at one large round table, so that you get a chance to chat to other guests. Better than many hotels that I've stayed in, definitely worht a visit!

Just returned from another perfect holiday at Jamies. This is our second stay with excellent hosts Jamie and Felicity. We are seriously considering moving to St Ives in the near future. Have absolutely fallen in love with the place. Read recent review/photo for villa.
