Just stayed at this hotel for the week. I'm a Coeliac and was told that the hotel had been wrote to to tell them about me and my food. I had to take my own bread. Dont get me wrong I was no ill while I was ther. But I had to go down to reception every day to ask if the food was ok for me to eat when the English girl was on everything was fine but when I asked the staff who was from abroad they did not no enything about it. It would have only taken the manager half hour to sit all the staff down and explain to them what Coeliac disease is the staff don't seem to tell each other things. I was so scared of being ill it ruined the holiday all because the manager does not talk to the staff about people with allergys. !!

Well run,clean, friendly hotel with fabulous sea views.

Food fantastic with plenty of choice and waiting staff were friendly and helpful.
Sue at reception organised a birthday cake for my partner, which made his day!

There's a heated outdoor pool which you can use until the end of September.It's lovely and great for families with a small pool and changing area.

If you can't walk very well it could be difficult for you but we are walkers so we enjoyed hiking the 2 miles into St Ives. The little train is great..next to hotel.£1 into St Ives.

We spent 4 nights at The Cottage Hotel at Carbis Bay. This is a very well run hotel. It was worth paying extra for the sea view. We didn't go to the evening entertainment. Our room was spotlessly clean and the bed was comfortable even with blankets instead of the usual duvet. It was great to have an outdoor swimming pool. The food was really lovely. St Ives is about 40 mins walk along a coast path. There is a train station a few minutes walk away. It is a steep walk down to the beach but well worth it to have a paddle in the sea.

Just returned from 5 day tour with Alfa Travel using Cottage Hotel as base.We enjoyed it very much,food ,rooms and service first class.
Lucky enough to have bedroom with sea view scenery fantastic.
Good value for money.
