Stayed 2 nights, great location on main rd to st. ives, no need to drive , had a great night out in st. ives, returned back to the beechwood and was invited for a drink with the owners and other guests, pete and jan were very friendly and had us laughing at their b&b stories.our room was top class and so was the relaxing breakfast. Have booked again for next summer.

This hotel in Carbis Bay is on the main road through to St Ives. However, 50 yards away was the coastal path to St Ives (1 1/2 miles) which we walked with ease passing many of the beautiful beaches.
The accommodation was clean & bright, The full English breakfast was okay - bacon was obviously cooked many hours before hand so was rather chewy. We paid £86.00 which we actually thought was quite expensive. The landlord was really nice and friendly and we were made to feel very welcome. Oh, and our bed was sooooo squeaky! Every time you moved about it squeaked endlessly...

My partner and I planned, at short notice, a weekend trip to Cornwall, wanting to stop over in St Ives on the Saturday night. All of the B&Bs I contacted were accepting a minimum 2 night stay. This was initially the case with Beechwood but Jan later called me back to say that they could accommodate us on a one night basis.

For us, Beechwood was an ideal location for our stay. 10 minutes walk to the beautiful beach at Carbis Bay, 5 minutes walk to the railway station to catch the train for a 3 minute trip into St Ives. The return trip was by taxi, costing only £4.90. There is a Costcutter within a minute's walk.

Both Jan and Peter, the owners, were very welcoming and keen to recommend interesting places to visit.

Breakfast was very good. Cereal, yoghurt and fresh fruit were available, followed by a cooked meal (choice of full English, scrambled egg, vegitarian) were some of the choices available.

I would definitely stay at the Beechwood again.

Only stopped one night but would have stayed longer if had the time. Good sized rooms with excellent facilities, clean, bright and very welcoming. Not too far out from town centre, plenty of parking, and good atmosphere. Very welcoming host with plenty of time for the guests, very good breakfast- would stay there again if in the area
