Stayed for two nights in room 5. Room was clean and well presented. The only slight let down was the overly soft bed. I realise that some people prefer soft, some firm, but I didn't sleep well because of the soft mattress.
Breakfast was great, but a little slow as mentioned in previous articles. If you're on a tight schedule you may want to be there early.
The pub itself has a nice atmosphere, and the dinner was tasty and reasonably priced. If you don't fancy dinner at the hotel there are plenty of other options in St Ives.
If you're bringing your vehicle then parking is an issue. There is no parking close to the hotel, and you'll probably need to drop your bags and then go and find a park. The closest one I found was next to the railway station, about 300m away.
Overall a nice stay, and worthy of 5 spots... just.
