I have to thank trip advisor for helping me find this great place to stay in St. Ives. After staying in a shabby B&B in London, entering the twin room at the Queens Hotel was like a breath of fresh air. Every thing looked new, clean and contemporary. The beachy decor gave it a real fresh appearance. I could not fault the room at all. It was a generously proportioned twin room, had a good size bathroom. Plenty of room for luggage. Nice fluffy towels, and you got two towels each, nice touch. The breakfast was fantastic. There were plenty of options, and the full english breakfast was really good, excellent sausages and the chef knew how to poach an egg. Excellent. The dinners on offer were also excellent, not your usual pub food. The pub downstairs had a real nice ambiance, and also was a nice place to have a relaxed meal. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. I stayed here for 4 nights and had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. Forgot to mention, the hotel is ideally located in the centre of town and short walk from railway station and bus station. St. Ives is not a very big village, and one can easily get around on foot.
