I booked two rooms with Jane from the Southern Comfort Hotel, one for myself and my fiance and the other for my parents who had flown in from Australia. Both were a great size and with views out to sea and St. Michael's Mount..stunning!

We stayed three nights at the hotel, the perfect base from which to explore the beautiful landscapes and enchanting villages of West Cornwall. Jane really does make you feel welcome and serves up a great breakfast each morning!

ps. Baba Indian Restaurant (two minutes walk up the road) also deserves a mention..great food, great service!

The place is not very well looked after, badly decorated and cold in spite of 2 electrical radiators in our room. The central heating seems to be out of order.
On the positive side we have a very pleasant and quite location. Owners are helpfull. Breakfast is plenty and good.

For £60 a night with full breakfast included, one shouldn't expect much more. The people are very friendly and welcoming. That, sadly, is about the only nice thing I can say.

Stayed in the hotel one night in Sept while touring Cornwall. Hotel is easy to locate by the seafront. They have car parking spaces directly in front of the hotel.

Room and shower is clean and coffee making facilities provided.

Most memorable about stay is that the owner, Jane, is very hospitable. She is forever so friendly, warm and sincere. I think this makes the place so special. In fact, their hospitality is contagious because everyone in the breakfast room started chatting with each other while Jane walks round to make sure everyone is happy with the meal.

Happy that we followed the reviews on Tripadvisor and stayed at this wonderful hotel.
