“One of the best guesthouses I have ever stayed in”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 October 2011

This is a real gem of a place - really close to the town centre, but not so close that you'd be disturbed by the nightlife. It's excellent value for money; I paid £34 per night including breakfast, and off-road parking can be arranged for an extra £2 per night. The rooms are beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Breakfasts are generous and everything is cooked to order. The owners are also extremely helpful and friendly, and there's a wealth of information in the entrance hall about things to do and places to see. I'm looking forward to my next visit already!

Stayed for a quick surf at Fistral - great place and simply excellent hospitality - could not recommend it more highly - will be using St Bernards going forward!

“Spotless, newly decorated, very friendly and helpful host!”

Stayed for a 4 day wedding weekend, the room was small but well furnished, recently decorated, comfortable large bed, Clean bathroom.

Excellent location to get into town, the windows were surprisingly well soundproofed when closed, which kept the late night party traffic noises outside. There was a fan too so keeping it closed wasn't a problem when it was warm.

You can tell the hosts are willing to go the extra mile because there was even an iPod dock/music player in the bedside drawer!

They also have an extensive DVD collection you can draw upon if you want to watch stuff in your room- also there are game consoles to play on in the lounge when it is open.

Breakfasts were fresh, and we timed it right to get some homemade jam!

Hosts were attentive but not invasive. Our stay couldn't have been better.

“The best B&B in the West...”

Fantastic location, 2 min walk from town centre. Great rooms, all in different styles. Mine had one black wall, black bedding and furnishings with en-suite shower and toilet... I love black... Louise ( The boss ) could not do enough for us from the wonderful breakfasts to downloading info for us on her PC and printing it out for us. We were a group of 5 lads, just needing a base to start each day from. Would recomend this for singles, couples and small families.

We have just got back from a 4 night stay at St. Bernards and cannot rate it highly enough!
The location is central for the beaches, restaurants and anything else you would want.
Louise could not have been more welcoming or helpful prior to, and during our stay, arranging parking in advance of our arrival.
The rooms are extremely well equipped and clean. Breakfast was spot on every day.
We will be back!
