I could write a book about how fabulous Deep Green Lodge is. My husband and I have just returned from 7 nights from 3-10 August. We honeymooned at Deep Green last year and couldn't wait to come back. This wonderful little place is perfectly situated just 3 minutes away from two beaches. It's right in the middle of town with literally EVERYTHING within walking distance- I didn't use my car once! Having said that, it's tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the Newquay nightlife, so you can enjoy everything the town has to offer and still have a peaceful, quiet nights sleep.

The Lodge itself is eco-friendly (Mike and Lou are passionate about helping to keep the Earth beautiful in whatever way they can) so expect to find delicious fairtrade coffee, organic fruit, yoghurt and milk at breakfast, plus energy saving initiatives aplenty. They compost and recycle absolutely everything they can, so you can be sure you'll be working on reducing your carbon footprint while you're there.

The whole place is decorated beautifully- wall hangings, bookcases full of stuff to read, ornaments from Mike and Lou's travels- it all adds to the feeling of comfy calm- it's like a home from home. Brekkie is wonderful - they put everything out for you so you can have whatever you fancy, and take note- this is unusual! Many of the other places in Newquay that offer 'breakfast' just expect you to make do with a bowl of value museli.... not good!

The best thing about this place is the family that run it. Mike and Lou are the friendliest people we have ever met, and their sunny disposition makes Deep Green Lodge what it is. Expect to find yourself nattering for hours over a cup of coffee and a croissant with new found friends while you're here- everyone is SO friendly, but without being intrusive.

We will definitely go back again - who wouldn't. You'd have to be mad to miss out on this place. PERFECT!

Deep Green Lodge has a really homely atmosphere, the oweners are genuinely lovely and would do anything to help. The room was beautifully decorated and very clean and comfortable. Really lovely selection of fresh foods for breakfast, with a very relaxed atmosphere. I cannot think of enough good things to say about my stay there. I will definetely recommed this little gem to others, and will definetely return, if only more B&B's were like this..

Well... what a gem, Ive just returned home after spending 4 very peaceful days staying at Deep Green Lodge, and I want to go back already!
Deep Green is run by a wonderful couple who have evidently put their hearts and souls into this welcoming, funky and green guest house.
The room was a great size with a very comfortable bed and spotless en-suite, (and yummy smelling soap!)
Breakfast was perfect, just right to set us up for a busy day of walking and surfing.
I will definately recommend Deep Green to my friends and family,
thanks heaps Lou and Mike, hope to see you again soooon!

I recently traveled to Newquay with a friend for a nice weekend away. I am SO happy i picked such a great B&B!! It couldnt be anymore convniant! The beach was 3 minutes walk away, the shops were just round the corner, and if you wanted a nice little drink or a big night out you could, with it also just being around the corner. The best thing is that you dont get any disturbances as the B&B is in a little street away from noise! It was a great place to stay! The owners Lou and Mike were so friendly and welcoming, and the place was nicely decorated and had a peacefull calm atmosphere about it. The breakfast was really yummy. We could choose what we wanted from different ceareals, breads, crumpits, jucies, milks, fruit, spreads, the lot!
Being able to pop to the beach whenever we wanted was really nice and everyone is so friendly!

Definatly stay here again!!!

Just arrived back home after spending Valentines Weekend at Deep Green Lodge.. We just felt we had to say how fab this B&B is. We had a really good stay in Newquay and were made very welcome by Lou & Mike, who maintain a very chilled out atmostphere in the B&B. We thought the Eco slant on Deep Green Lodge was great. The room was very clean & lovely and we enjoyed a very nice continental breakfast..
We will definately be going back...
