Stayed with a couple of frinds, wanted to be near Newquay centre so that we could go to some Bars, walk home and fall in to bed.
Payed £60 for the room which had 2 twins, the whole hotel smelt really bad, like old carpet which initially was the main thing we noticed. The room wasnt clean, it was very dusty but we thought it didnt matter too much as we would be out until the early hours so tried not to dwell on it . We have a private bathroom that you had to use a Key to get in to the room across the hall...got to say this was quite annoying!!!
Got back to the room about 2am. From about 3am-6am there were some men outside our room shouting and kicking doors, my friend and i were too scared to ask them to be quiet and it also meant i couldnt use the toilet as it was across the hall. Although this is not the fault of the hotel, the walls were so thin as they walked past the room shaked and so when they started kicking doors and shouting it felt like an earthquake. Considering we were both quite drunk within 1 minute we were wide awake and unable to sleep for the full 3-4 hours. Also, when the room next door turned on their tap it sounded like water was going to fall on my head it was just so loud. The beds were very small and uncomfy and the linen smelt fusty.
All-in-all i imagine this hotel is used mostly by younger people who go out drinking in Newquay so we fitted the bill perfectly, but it really was terrible and we decided to miss breakfast in the morning, the whole hotel appeared so unclean i didnt feel like eating there and couldnt wait to leave.
I felt at £60 a night it was quite expensive considering the state of the rooms and the services available.
When we tried to check out there was only a young boy behind the counter who ignored us. I left the key on the desk
