Stayed for a week at the Sutherland Hotel had a wonderful time thwe staff were friendly and polite rooms were clean and comfy will definately stay again.
If you want to experience what life was like in a Stalag try the Sutherland. The beer was cheap and the barmaid / chambermaid / waitress was a giggle ( and yes she is one person!)
Getting my jabs tomorrow as the surgery is closed today!
If your there for a stag weekend then your not planning on much sleep anyway so who cares if the walls are pink in color.
We had 3 rooms between our party, 2 of them were what you need for a stag weekend, shower, toilet and sink in a partition within the room. the other actually had a shower in the room and it was a clear glass shower... not even frosted glass, we laughed so hard when we saw it. i read it below on a previous review and didnt belive it...but yes it is actually true!
The downstairs "public" bar is very well prices and the staff are really good.
its got a good pool table that is cheap to play on. they have 3 darts boards and they keep some darts if you dont happen to have any on you.
The beer is chilled and they have a good selection including a few different ciders.
The Upstairs bar opens at 1.30 in the morning and is open till about 4...i think...i had passed out by this point :-)
drinks are cheap in this bar and they have a projector that they were showing music tv / funny video clip programs.
the break fast times are a tad limited 9:00 am till 9:45 but the breakfast is goood!
kick out times on the Sunday at least were quite soon after the breakfast 10.30 am but hey they do have to clean and stuff, we were hoping to get a few more hours kip in but there wasn't a chance in that.
So to sum it up....yes its not the Ritz but you wouldn't be allowed to crawl round the Ritz on your hands and knees smashed out of your head at 6 am :-D
Should have realised it would not be the best but not prepared for it being this bad. The rooms were an absolute disgrace I looked at 4 rooms before agreeing to stay. 5 of the party refused to stay and booked in elsewhere.
