“Great stay at the Falmouth Townhouse”

Just returned from a great stay at the Falmouth Townhouse. Great room overlooking the harbour and very close to Rick Stein's seafood bar. Easy, short walk into town. Loved the contemporary style; room was very comfortable with great accessories. Really liked the bar downstairs - couldn't hear it upstairs but had an amazing selection of beers, very well made cocktails and great bar snacks including potted shrimp. Staff were great. Breakfast delicious and available til 10.30am.

We booked online, which was easy and managed to get a good deal.
The room was lovely! Nice big bath which I think I spent about 3 hours in! Comfiest bed I've ever slept in, with such a cool chilled style. Very modern but warm.
The breakfast was smashing, not greasy but could have been a little bigger!
The bar has an amazing selection of spirits and shots etc.
The only thing I could moan about was the noise out side, It was a saturday night so wasn't expecting it too be silent, but the sash windows didn't keep any of the noise out.
Staff very friendly, would defo stay again :)

Room Tip: We had the one on the first floor, to the right as you come up the stairs, at the front (cant rememb...

“Birthday weekend”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2012

Booked on line, paid £160 for a double room for 2 nights, including breakfast.
Very welcoming staff, clean room, crisp sheets and fluffy towels. Shower great, and large comfortable bath with plenty of hot water. Furniture a little tired, but quirky.
Downstairs in main bar area had a student feel, but we liked that.
The paintwork looked like it needed a tidy up in places, and the downstairs areas looked a bit dusty....needed a good cleaning session.
The breakfast was absolutely brilliant, well cooked quality produce, fresh orange, coffee....perfect.
Staff really friendly, and relaxed atmosphere. Would stay there again.

Room Tip: We booked a double and got a garden view...better than the front which is a view of TESCO unfortunat...

“Will definitely be back”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 January 2012

We have stayed here a couple of times in the last few years and have always been very happy with our visits. It might not suit everyone, being rather quirky, but that's exactly why we like it.
The rooms are a good size, comfortable and very clean with excellent stylish bathrooms. The furniture (but not the comfy beds) is decidedly retro and someone has gone to a lot of bother to source the 1960's-70's pieces which some people might not like, but we really do.
The atmosphere is decidedly chilled out, and the staff are very relaxed and friendly. The breakfasts have to be one of the best things about the Townhouse - lots of choice and excellent quality that would be very hard to beat.
If you like typical commercial chain hotels with efficient but deadly dull staff then this place is definitely not for you - but it's definitely the place for us.
Thanks again Townhouse!

Room Tip: Rooms at the front can be a little noisy when people leave the popular bar downstairs.
