My sister and I stayed at Walpole House in Sept 2006. Great place, owners, Michael & Betty Foley very friendly, helpful - they made us feel right at home. Our twin room was very nice, very clean and quiet. Michael cooks a great breakfast which is part of the cost of the room. Very reasonable rates. Great location for sight seeing in Chester. Would recommend very highly.

I stayed at the Walpole House for two nights with my partner in August. It was a very pleasant stay. The Walpole House ist in a quiet street within easy walking distance to the city centre. The owners were extremely attentive and friendly. They made us feel very welcome and gave us useful advice on what to see and do or where to eat and told us a lot about the city. They even offered to run us to the station when we left. We had quite a spacious room at the front of the house. The furniture was nice and the bed was very comfortable. We had a lovely private bathroom - a big difference to the cramped ensuite you find at many B&Bs. The accommodation was spotless and well cared for and the breakfast was very good. We would definitely stay there again.
