Pennies guest house is a very clean and very basic house that is shared by the guests; the bathroom is shared as is the kitchen. Breakfast is a DIY affair and the seating arrangements are uncomfortable. The bed was worse. It had two pieces of chipboard giving the matress support so when I lay down my hip fell down between the gap. I had problems walking the following day!
The landlady's attitude was brusque to say the least; a take-it-or-leave it attidude. She basically turns up, shows you around, takes your cash, give you a key and disappears.
If you want this type of accommodation you're better off at a youth hostel; at least there the price reflects the product.
For a comfortable bed and hot breakfast look elsewhere.
When I paid for my room no registration was done and no receipt offered. Any inland revenue people reading this?
