“Good location and price for a quick stay over.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

As we were meeting with friends in the area this hotel was the closest and reviews were favourable so we booked. £29.00 room only for a Saturday night was a plus. Upon arrival we were greeted by a lovely receptionist who was very friendly and helpful. The car parking was more than ample and the room was basic but clean. As i would expect at this price point. The only downsides to the room/hotel were that the shower head leaked and dripped constantly, the room overlooked a Sainsbury's petrol station so not very pleasant and the hallways once you have left reception going to your room were a bit worn and smelt slightly of smoke. Do not let this put you off though as otherwise it is a high quality premier inn and one of the better ones we have stayed in and didnt hear much road noise even though we faced the busy road and petrol station. The 'Twirl Of Hay' pub is right next door and although didnt use it this pub looked very nice and the added bonus of being right across from a Sainsbury's was handy for supplies. The proximity to town and the place we met friends was very useful too and after a night on the town paid £4.60 to return to this hotel with Abbey taxis. So, in short, if you pay £29.00 to stay then book it. It is well worth this kind of money. We would use again.

“Great Weekend”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 January 2012

We payed £29 a night for 2 nights at this Premier Inn and everything was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable and had everything we required. It is well located for visiting Chester as the there is a bus stop very close by and the reurn fare into the town centre was just £3.The meals in the pub/restaurant next door were very good and reasonably priced. All in all we had a very enjoyable weekend here!

“It does what it says on the tin!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 January 2012

This is quite a large Premier so has plenty of parking and a large pub/restaurant attached to it.

Their website says that there may be some noise pollution as this is situated in quite a busy area. I have to admit that we had no external noise pollution whatsoever, just a noisy family next door.

Staff on reception were courteous and helpful and we were given a local map free of charge too!

There are no big surprises here. It is a standard Premier Inn. The room is the same as all other Premier Inns. I like these hotels as the beds are comfy, bathrooms adequate and general cleanliness is generally above par.

The hotel is situated next to a Sainsburys, a petrol station and a small retail park. I couldn't comment on public transport as I didn't use it but hotel staff know about taxis and buses.

Overall, a pleasant stay for our short overnight trip to Chester.

“Bargain for a good quiet sleep”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 January 2012

I booked this particular Premier en route because it was in the £19 sale. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet, so I slept well. For £19 it was a great choice. If I were to pay more, I would say the downsides were a very slow check-in, despite the staff being absolutely lovely and also there is no lift. Otherwise perfect for the job.

“Extraordinary service and value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 January 2012

The staff are exceptionally helpful. The rooms excellent and spotless. Facilities are above average. Car parking clear and plentiful. Breakfast on a par to a 4 star hotel. Based on my stay I would highly recommend.

Room Tip: I asked for a quiet room and it was.
