the hotel is very central for chester city centre and the river dee. the staff are mostly from the same italian family and are very friendly and helpful. the rooms are somewhat shabby and in need of updating but are clean and comfortable. we were shown to our rooms by the receptionist. the car park is small but remember you are in a city centre where space is at a premium and if you give your key to reception then they will happily move your car without disturbing you. the breakfast menu was comprehensive, breakfast was well presented and hot with generous portions. the restaurant attached to the hotel is a very good italian. i would recommend this as a comfy base to explore chester.

Can't beat the location within walking distance to everything in town and race course. stayed with a group of 14 on stag party weekend and can't fault it. Lynne was very helpful with making the booking and all went smoothly. rooms are only ok, but lets face it your not here for the hotel! rooms were clean and tidy if a little dated. B'fast was ok but 9.30 cut of was a bit early for most of our party!

Oh how we laughed !!!! and oh how bizarre !!!! Staff from pub opposite told us Roma was managed by PSYCHO's n we should all sleep with one eye open... Am sure receptionist was an Adams family reject.... tho she was very friendly ( if not overly so !!! ) To be highly recommended for a FUN night away.... but purely for entertainment value only.
