“WHAT A LOVELY PLACE TO STAY”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 January 2011

We recently had a two night stay at Cotton Farm and will certainly visit again when in the area. Blissfully peaceful, beautiful room and bathroom - excellent breakfast with a really good choice. We were looked after really well and did not wish to move on when the time came. This is certainly a lovely place to stay and I can only say that it is one of the nicest bed and breakfast stays we have had anywhere. Really lovely and hope we can get back for another visit soon.

“Tranquility and Style”

What a wonderful setting and welcome. Plenty of great walks in the area - just try not to get lost like I did. Fabulous full breakfast. Would definitely recommend this gorgeous B&B.

“Enjoyed our stay and would definitely come again”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2010

There were a lot of good things about this b&b. During our stay, we enjoyed a 'tour' of new born lambs. The bedroom and ensuite rooms were very large and comfortable. It was like having 2 rooms to ourselves. The rocking chair by the bathtub was a nice touch. Although they had a dog, we were assured that no dogs went into the guest part of the house, which was what we wanted. The breakfast was tasty with a variety of different foods and freshly baked bread. The flour for the bread came from a neighbouring farm, which grew the wheat and milled it, using a water wheel, which we saw in operation.

“Relaxing and comfortable”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 October 2009

We had a big, comfortable room, with a big bathroom. The farmhouse has a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere. Detailed local formation on cycling, walking and other local amenities were provided. Breakfast was proper home-cooked fare, including freshly-made bread, croissants and orange juice, with, as pre-arranged, non-dairy milk and vegan sausages.

“Comfortable Cotton Farm”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 July 2008

We stayed at Cotton Farm in mid July 2008 and found it to be a particularly pleasant experience.
We were greeted courteously upon our arrival then shown to our room, which was laid out to a high standard with all the amenities you would expect.
As previous reviews have stated, this is still a working farm which only adds to the experience.
Being located just 4 miles from Chester, we decided to go into the city for our evening meal. We were spoilt for choice, even though several other establishments had already been suggested to us by our host.
The breakfast at Cotton Farm was amazing and can't be rated highly enough.
I would heartedly recommend staying here and am personally considering doing so again, sometime in the not to distant future.

  • Liked — Located on a working farm, yet close to Chester city centre
  • Disliked — website and incorrect web address when trying to locate it (should read cottonfarm.co.uk)
