My wife and I had a two night stay here. The room was clean and spacious. The breakfast was freshly cooked and the staff were friendly and went out of their way to see to our needs

Well i didn't even get past the call to reception to enquire about a roon for a meeting. The receptionist was just plane rude from the first hello to just putting the phone down.
Don't even bother with this one there's some really nice hotels in Chester with friendly welcoming staff. Manager take note Thursday 18th Nov early afternnon.

We arrived just before 9pm Friday and was told by the receptionist she would be leaving in 15 minutes. The residents bar looked to be a fridge with cans in which was run by the reception (difficult as there was no one there after 9). Room was basic and you could plainly hear the voices people next door. Floorboards in room above constantly creaked which prevented a good nights sleep. Two rusty nails on the back of the bathroom door presumably were robe hangers. Room was cleaned and our bars of chocolate disappeared? Did they think it was just rubbish in the carrier bag? Why would you remove carrier bags from anyone's room? Breakfast was served, cooked, cleared away by one lady - she also had to run the reception on this morning!! Breakfast was good, which is the only positive I have for this hotel. No signs of life on Saturday night so presumably you couldn't get either food or drink if this was required! Fan in the toilet was thick with dust, doubt it had been cleaned in years. Bathroom fan didn't work. On our second day we were left 2 bath towels, no hand towels and no foot mat. Very, very disappointed and would have liked to complain if there had been anyone about to complain to!

what can i say- dirty, dusty, torn bed sheets, mould inside windows, no phones in room, carpet that is so badly fitted i tripped on it and VERY uncomfortable beds.... dont get a fmaily room they're very cramped and hoole road has much nicer and CHEAPER hotels then that!! not worth the money was so bad we didnt even stay the second night of the two we'd booked and decided to drive back to the south coast instead... we were there for a wedding and had all the other local hotels not been full we wouldnt have even stayed one night. .. the staff were fairly polite but not very helpful, dont ask for directions to anywhere other then town from the Hotel coz they simply dont know :(
