Stayed one night in the Premier Queen Hotel for a brief first visit to Chester and were very impressed by the smart, well-appointed room in the 'Kings Quarter' extension. The room was smallish but very clean and comfortable. Staff were very efficient and helpful e.g. kettle was not in the room on arrival but one was quickly provided by Brett who was extremely helpful. A good feature of this hotel is that all the staff are local with an extensive knowledge of Chester. The Visitors Guide to Chester provided by Reception is invaluable.Chester is a compact city so in 2 days we were able to walk part of the historic city walls, visit the impressive Cathedral, shop in the unique 'Rows' visit the Grosvenor Museum and Cheshire Military Museum (very informative staff on the desk). We dined at the nearby Siam Thai restaurant at the end of City Road where the waiters perform a knife-juggling act on the lower restaurant floor - specify you wish to see this performance when booking. Great lunch at the Sticky Walnut restaurant. Still lots to see and do in fascinating Chester so will revisit soon and definitely stay at the Best Western Premier Queen Hotel.
