My friend and I stayed at this lovely B&B last year at the end of November 2007. It is situated to the south west of the city centre and took 15 minutes to walk to the shops and restaurants. This would be ideal during the light summer months, but because it was dark and rainy, we got a taxi into Chester and back at night and it was only £3 each way for both of us, which I think is extremely cheap.
The owner is extremely hospitable and friendly and showed us to our very large room on the top floor. It had a large bathroom with a bath, not just a shower in it (which I made use of as there was plenty of hot water), TV, lots of storage space and hospitality tray and, most important of all, was very clean. There is also a very large car park and lovely garden at the back of the property.
Breakfast very nice and was served in a lovely big room with lots of original features. We started with fresh orange and cereal then my friend had a full English breakfast and I had 2 poached eggs on toast and was actually asked how many I wanted. At previous places I have just been given 1, which I feel is a bit mean. My only tiny gripe was the white bread toast served with the breakfast, it was a bit thin and hard. I always eat brown bread and would have liked a choice.
All in all, an exceptional B&B for the price (£25 each per night), a lovely property in a good, quiet location yet within walking distance.
We will definitely be booking again.
