We picked Le Vieux Clos because they accept pets - we took our dog with us. They have their own dog. We stayed for 3 nights. We had a family room on the ground floor with a shower room / toilet adjacent to our room. It was fine, with double bed and bunk beds for our 2 children. We found the owners very frindly and helpful, and the breakfasts were good. We ate there one evening too at short notice and we had a very nice meal. They arranged for our bags to be taken down to the harbour when we left. Not one of the more upmarket places perhaps but absolutely fine for what we needed and no complaints at all. Rooms do have digital TV for our cartoon starved children but obviously you don't go to Sark to watch telly. For expensive luxury go to Stocks but for a good family run B&B with an informal atmosphere you won't go wrong with Vieux Clos. NB it has a fascinating history relating to WW2 - stories of murder, suicide and even claims that the building is haunted! It was used as a base for a German doctor during the occupation and has a deep well ( made safe) in the garden down which someone accused of his murder threw himself in the 1940's! Not sure if the current residents have seen any apparitions but a previous resident says she has ( woman who works in visitor centre).

We stayed for 4 nights in a family room, 1 double, bunkbeds & cot & had a fab time. Sally & Peter are great hosts nothing is too much trouble & make you feel right at home. We had a good full breakfast every morning & good home cooked style food on the evening. If you are looking for good value, clean homely acommadation & that personal touch this the place for you, we couldnt fault it at all & cant wait to go back. Thank you Sally & Peter.

We totally enjoyed this jewel on our two day stay. Our room was just beautifully decorated and included sky windows...or that's what I will call them. We enjoyed watching the near full moon and dramatic clouds. Breakfast was delicious. Dinner was not offered on Sunday so we regret not taking it on Saturday. The grounds of the guesthouse are well kept and quite beautiful. Such a relaxing wonderful place. We would have loved to have stayed longer.

When you arrive at Sark, you enter a dream world, a place so wonderfull and different. You should walk from harbour to Le Vieux Clos, it's about 15-20 min and the road leads directly through the heart of the village - the Avenue. Than you reach this friendly house in a beautifull garden and as soon you meet Sally and Peter you know you made the right decision to come here. Sally and Peter are some of the most friendly and warm-hearted people I've ever met. They know lot's of stories about the island, people who lived there, events which are taking place and they always are willing to tell them. They also have some very interesting books about channel islands if you prefer to read.
Our ensuit room was wonderful cosy and bright (it's even in the picture!). It was sweet furnished and we felt very comfortable. The breakfast ist delicious! Sally is a great cook and if you like, you can have a dinner as well (the food is great, but the dessert - a poem. Always).
We rented bikes for only one day, because you can reach all interesting places from the house absolutely comfortable by foot. Sally and Peter can tell you what is most worth to see and how to get there if you need an advice.
We enjoyed also to stay at home, reading in the garden, having a cream tea with home made scones. If you don't have enough books with you, Sally and Peter have a nice library as well.
We had great holidays, came back home fully relaxed and swore to go back. We were very sorry to leave. I miss Ashley, my little, amazing, dog friend... :o)
