I would recommend this hotel. Our room was really small and the bathroom tiny but the decor was tasteful and really well finished with modern decor in the bathroom but lots of period features in the room and around the hotel. The breakfast room is spectacular and our excellent cooked breakfast was included in the price. The whole hotel was spotless and the staff friendly and helpful. If I have to go back to Derby I would stay here again.

Cathedral House was a great start to our tour of the UK-very nice accomodation,great little city with good places to eat and a great cathedral,plus easy access to Cambridge,Newmarket and the fens. Jenny and Robin were super hosts,giving us great advice along with tasty breakfasts.

It is a large space double room with guest room, and the surrounding is very beauteful. The breakfast is very nice, especially the hosts are very kindly.

I booked at short notice, and was given a small but perfect room in the self - contained Cottage, (the main house being full) it was beautifully decorated and furnished.( plenty of windows!1) Clean and comfortable. Had everything I could wish for, including copious reading material! So much care and love put into the interior décor. Hosts Jenny and Robin were extremely friendly, breakfasts delicious!
