“Clean and comfortable”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 August 2009

I stayed with David and Janet as a result of reading other reviews on Trip Advisor and the location was ideal for a business trip. I was in the twin en-suite room which was nicely appointed. There was even a hot water bottle in the cupboard! The breakfast was indeed superb and I would definitely stay there again. My only gripe (and it is a very small one) was that the shower was not quite as hot as I'd have liked.

“Welcoming, homely B&B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 April 2008

Brickwall Farm Cottage, Weston Turville, Aylesbury: Homely and Welcoming.

I have just spent four nights staying with David and Janet in their very pleasant cottage. I was attending RAF Halton, which is only ten minutes (max) away by car, so the cottage was very convenient.

David and Janet were the best hosts one could hope for. They made me feel welcome, were good sources of information, conversed easily but allowed you to treat the rented room as your home. The twin room was comfortably furnished, with en-suite shower and wash basin. There was a kettle and a variety of materials for making hot drinks - coffee, tea, hot chocolate and fruit teas. Janet's breakfasts were perfect - prepared freshly for your while you took grapefruit, fruit juice, and/or cereal.

There are several public houses in Weston Turville offering hot meals as well as drinks. There is a Fish & Chip shop and a general store if that takes your fancy.

I enjoyed evening walks around the village, which has plentiful and varied footpaths. I particularly recommend a walk from the end of Mill Lane, across to Church Lane, turning left to head out over a waterway to a footpath tee-junction, turning right and then picking a route across the field down to the church, which is well worth the visit. From the church, proceed down Church Walk and take any one of a number of footpaths back to Brickwall Farm Cottage. David has prepared a small map of the local area including a number of the footpaths.

I hope that you enjoy your stay as much as I did.

Joe - Winchester, Hampshire.

“Like being with family”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 May 2006

It's often difficult being away from home for any length of time, but Janet and David, the proprietors of this lovely B&B, make you feel like one of the family. The rooms are very clean and well equipped with plush bathrobes, hair dryers, coffee and tea making facilities, TV and radio. Breakfast each morning is made to order - and a pot of hot coffee is always waiting. A spare refrigerator is available for guests to keep small amounts of perishable foods, if they choose. The bathrooms and rooms are sparkling clean. While only one room is fully en suite, there are plenty of showers and toilets and there never was any problem with queuing for the facilities! I've stayed here before and will do so again quite happily. This is easily one of the best values for the money that I have found in the UK. Janet and David (and Stella, their lovely bearded collie) provide warmth, humor and a great place to stay. Easy access to major roads leading to London and to the north.

“A 'Home from home' B&B”

I found Brickwall Farm Cottage Bed &Breakfast using an internet search after having tried a number of other accommodation options around Aylesbury. Comparing it to some other places I've had to stay in I've found it very friendly, conveniently located and very much a 'home from home' experience.

There are several good pubs within walking distance, and the village location is quiet but yet reasonably near to Aylesbury.

The room facilities are good, breakfast is generous and can be adjusted to your requirements. The hosts have made a real effort to make all their guests feel both comfortable and welcome.

Talking to some other guests I could tell they all felt the same about their stay there.

The provision of (free) wireless networking is a real extra benefit that makes life away from home easier.

I've recommended it to several people as a good place to stay, both on its facilities & overall value.
