We fiddled about with the booking - SACO were brilliant, accommodating and so helpful.
The location is magnificent in being central. We had a varied agenda and could easily walk everywhere.
Apartment was of a very high standard. Every facility is there. Finding a pint of milk in the fridge was the icing on the cake and typical of their thoughtfulness.
We stayed 2 nights, in apartment 10. Rather noisy on Friday morning from building work behind the apartment. Serenely quiet on Saturday morning though.
Can recommend Bordeaux Quay and Hotel du Vin to eat.
Only downside was a fault with the self-closing doors throughout the apartment (needed for fire regulations I expect). They would close… then there was a huge CRASH/CLONK from the closing mechanism, which I’m sure isn’t normal. Only a niggle until someone goes to the bathroom in the night, and that’s everyone woken up. I expect it’ll be fixed ASAP because they are really on the ball.
As others have mentioned, car parking in Bristol is expensive. The closest NCP is £19 per day. Street parking is typically £2/hour with a MAXIMUM stay of either 1 or 2 hours.
Update your SatNav as our 3-year-old maps didn’t match the actual streets in several important areas!
As well as the lovely accommodation, and eateries, we really enjoyed the Bristol pub scene. See www. beerinthe evening.com and search for Bristol.
