“Almost perfect!”

We fiddled about with the booking - SACO were brilliant, accommodating and so helpful.

The location is magnificent in being central. We had a varied agenda and could easily walk everywhere.

Apartment was of a very high standard. Every facility is there. Finding a pint of milk in the fridge was the icing on the cake and typical of their thoughtfulness.

We stayed 2 nights, in apartment 10. Rather noisy on Friday morning from building work behind the apartment. Serenely quiet on Saturday morning though.

Can recommend Bordeaux Quay and Hotel du Vin to eat.

Only downside was a fault with the self-closing doors throughout the apartment (needed for fire regulations I expect). They would close… then there was a huge CRASH/CLONK from the closing mechanism, which I’m sure isn’t normal. Only a niggle until someone goes to the bathroom in the night, and that’s everyone woken up. I expect it’ll be fixed ASAP because they are really on the ball.

As others have mentioned, car parking in Bristol is expensive. The closest NCP is £19 per day. Street parking is typically £2/hour with a MAXIMUM stay of either 1 or 2 hours.

Update your SatNav as our 3-year-old maps didn’t match the actual streets in several important areas!

As well as the lovely accommodation, and eateries, we really enjoyed the Bristol pub scene. See www. beerinthe evening.com and search for Bristol.

“Nice clean modern apartments”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 September 2010

Booked these apartments at the last minute after being let down by another company. Booking was very easy, lovely helpful staff booking confirmation came through straight away. Information in booking confirmation was great, had all you needed to know and was very straightforward to find and get into the apartments and clear instructions on what to do when leaving. The apartments were very clean, modern and had everything in there that you needed. All Molton Brown shower gel shampoo and condition left for each guest and two towels each. The whole thing was very well organised and I would definately use this company again when making another booking.

“Decent Property in a very good location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 July 2010

Stayed here for almost two months. Cant really fault the place.
Location is excellent. All major amenities are close by. The room i had was fairly spacious, with a combined lounge/dinning, separate toilet and bedroom.
Check was fine, followed instructions to access safe without issues. Upon entry room was clean and in very good condition. My only issues with the property were that during my staff the washer/dryer broke down twice, the toilet continually leaked water, internet was very hit and miss, sometimes you would get a good connection but most times you would a bad connection.

Rooms a cleaned on a weekly basis, but its not the same day each week, so sometimes you would leave things lying around thinking no one would be entering the property only to find the cleaners had visited for the day.

Would stay again.

“EXCELLENT LOCATION”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 June 2009

We stayed in apartment 7 for 1 week in June 2009 using this as a base to tour the surrounding countryside. Far better than any hotel room, we had room to move and a lovely view from the front windows over Bristol Bridge. Very well located, the apartment has everything in a heritage building. Although not double glazed, there was no intrusive noise from the front, although the student flats behind had a party on one night and it was extremely noisy until 1am. (I would suggest that Saco double-glaze the rear windows).
In any case we enjoyed staying here, being able to walk to everything. The bed was good, the rooms were clean and everything worked. The only other negative might be that if you have a car the parking charges are very high at the NCP carpark, the only alternative being parking out the front free from 6pm - 8am and then moving the car elsewhere until you use it. Still, this is part of city living.
When we ate out, we ate at the Llandoger Trow around in King Street - just honest pub food with great service at a reasonable price.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Saco and will be using them again when next we travel.
