“Perhaps not the best apartments but very good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 January 2012

This was my 3rd stay at these apartments - The location is very good and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful.

There were unfortunately a number of issues with this particular apartment including the wrong TV remote (so it would not work) a missing light bulb in the bedroom and the kitchen was poorly equipped with damaged doors.

That said the light bulb and remote were dealt with within minutes of reporting the problem to Reception and the kitchen issues did not impact on the stay as a whole.

The price I paid was very good at £50 per night but this was a special offer.

All in all very good and I will stay here again due to the location and friendliness and helpful attitude of the staff.

“Disappointing”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 December 2011

We had previously had a fabulous experience at Premier spartments in Liverpool so were looking forward to Bristol. It was very disappointing. the internal doors were extremely heavy and our almost 9 year old couldn't go from room to room without help. The hot water was not on, nor did we get any instructions to turn it on so our child's evening bath, was in an inch of water, boiled in the kettle! (he has a skin condition which means putting on a lotion then rinsing it off, hence we were committed to bathing him). The apartment was not that clean and we found it a bit noisy. The beds were comfortable enough though and i'll stop there to finish on a more positive note!

“Lacking behind other apartments in Bristol now”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 December 2011

We stayed for a Friday night on the day before our flight out to the Canary Islands last weekend and although we stayed here previously on a couple of visits to Bristol we think there are better apartments to be had in Bristol these days and at much better prices. The rooms and furniture are pretty worn and old looking now and the apartment we stayed in on the ground floor looking out to St Thomas Street was pretty shabby ; the outside balcony was more of an walk on ashtray and dustbin then anything else. The bed sheets did'nt fit our double bed, the bed room carpets were dotted with stains. Half of the free standing lights in the living room and bedside lights didnt work or could not be plugged in and the whole apartment was pretty smelly. YUK! Our smoke alarm made funny beeping noises on arrival and although the helpful reception staff dealt with that swiftly we think removing the battery from the smoke alarm is certainly not the right way to fix the problem. We then asked if it was possible to move us but apparently they were fully booked apart from rooms on the ground floor with the same set up!! Really? We decided to stick it out and just get on with it and stayed the night but this certainly was our last visit.

“Excellent location.”

Stayed here with friends for 3 nights whilst attending Cheltenham races. Close proximity to Temple Meads station (1/2 mile approx). Apartment was clean with all the appliances and crockery you require for cooking etc. No double glazing means road noise is heard at all times of day and night. Private parking with security gates for cars and pedestrians gives peace of mind when parking your car. It is a 10 minute walk to the centre of town where you pass many pubs and restaurants on the way there.

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us. I was a little confused by the noise however as we do have double glazing. Hope you had a great time at the races and won a couple of pounds!

had to stay there while daughter in local hospital the appartments are small ours was dirty, leaking roof, washing machine did not work, evantually moved to another room it was even dirtier, bed protector was stained ( not washed) fridge ruined our food by freezing it and balcony door would not lock which is no good when in the first floor. The staff were very unhelpful and because we complained regarded us as a pain. they have no maintenance cover at weekends to sort things out, the noise is unacceptable as ther cater for stag and hen parties at weekends and car parking is a rip off. all in all go some where else do not waste your money

Room Tip: choose a different hotel appartments

I was very disappointed to read this review and have talked to the charity that actually booked and paid for the apartment. This charity has had a block booking of 10 Apartments for 3 months and is more than happy with everything including our cleanliness levels. Our parking is priced at competitive prices to parking in the local area; however this isn’t a cost that the booker wished to incur. Unfortunately the leaking roof was an unavoidable issue beyond our control. We do cater for groups although if you read other reviews you will we have a noise policy for all our residents.
