I stayed here on business recently and was disappointed with my stay however the hotel would be ideal for parents or kids at uni or tourists as it is close to Clifton and Bristol centre. There is a small car park to the rear, steps up to hotel was hard work with luggage.
My room was on first floor and the traffic extremely noisy as it was at a busy junction, there was also students walking around and shouting, I am not normally disturbed by outside noise but this was too much. The bar also chucked their bottles into bottle bank under window around 22:30 so another crashing noise.
The room was clean except for one of the cups and spoon which had not been washed, not a huge room but had everything i needed.
I ate in the restaurant and was served by a waitress who sniffed and sneezed into her hands, I ordered a steak and it was cooked fine, basic green salad with no dressing. Background music was very odd.
Breakfast was self serve buffet, I did not eat hot option as I did not see it as the hot plates are in another room and under silver covers. But what I had was fine, it was hard to see who actually worked at the hotel and got the impression that there were some staff eating breakfast! Plenty of other places to eat locally
I don't really need to be staying so close to Bristol centre so I will choose somewhere else next time.
