Having stayed in distinctly below-par hotels on the outskirts of Bristol for work I was pleased (if a little skeptical) when my girlfriend booked this. The two rooms I have stayed in at The Henbury Lodge have been clean, pleasant and had bags of character which is very welcome after any more than one night at a Premier Inn. Add to this the good food and great service and I'll definitely be staying here again when I am next in town. Recommended.

An excellent hotel in which i only had a brief stopover. I wish I had been able to have more time to enjoy the facilities. Staff were polite and helpful and did their best to assist. I hope to stay here again.

Just had 1 overnight stay in this hotel, but have just booked for a further 5 nights. The hotel is in a beautiful old building which has been tastefully updated whilst retaining its character and the first thing that we experienced when we walked through the door was the warmth and friendliness of the staff. Our room was lovely with a beautiful bathroom with walk in shower lashings of hot water and spotlessly clean towels as was the bed linen. As other reviewers have stated the hotel retains its individuality despite being part of a large chain. The food in the restaurant was excellent with a good varied menu for both evening meal and breakfast and the staff were very helpful and friendly. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone as the warmth and friendliness of the staff and the food make for a great stay. All in all excellent value for money and a place where one feels really comfortable and at ease.

I stayed 2 nights at the Henbury Lodge Hotel as I was working in Bristol. Despite being part of a large chain (Best Western) this hotel retains its individuality both in looks and accommodation, but the biggest plus about staying here was the staff. All staff that I encountered were very friendly, helpful and were happy to help with any requests.
The room I was in (Room 2) was large, well furnished with a great bathroom with an over the bath shower which was very powerful.
Breakfast and dinner was of a very high standard and well worth the price.

All in all, a very nice hotel, great staff, great food and, when I am down in Bristol on business again I will definitely be checking availability of this hotel first.
