wonderful, friendly staff, (even the receptionist dribbling over his cooked breakfast at check out.)

However, the smell of shake n vac, the dirty crockery, old blankets and chipped paint work need sorting.

Saw some negative reviews about hotel and location. We stayed here for one night and were impressed by both the hotel, the location and how we were treated by the staff. We also had a great meal in the restaurant. This is underrated!

The Hotel gets 2 stars, 1 for the closeness to Bristol and 1 for the very good breakfast. We stayed here for 4 nights at Christmas 2011. We chose this Hotel to to be near family in Bristol.
We found the hotel to be on the cold side, very dull and dreary. The twin bedroom was spacious but the shower was hit and miss .The bedding was very tired looking and the blankets not very nice. The breakfast was fine but the evening meal was very poor. For Christmas there was no music at all until Boxing day. We did not enjoy our stay here at all and were glad to get back home.

I defy anyone to find more helpful and accommodating staff than those at Arnos Manor - Raquelle and Lara in particular were just lovely :) Hotel perfectly located for our visit to local TV studio. Yes it was a little tired and worn in places ( bed lined could do with updating) and perhaps the plumbing is a little antiquated and noisy but it's a hotel full of character. Our evening meal and breakfast were lovely - really yummy fish and chips - and again excellent friendly service.
