“A One Night Stay................”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

Stayed one night while attending a charity event at the hotel.
Amazing beds in the twin rooms, huge! Bedrooms were clean and well equipped - Iron, hairdryer, tea/coffee, trouser press etc.
Very good gym and spa facilities, nice coffee shop and bar area and the staff were polite.
No free Wi-fi though.
Parking was free with the room in the multi storey above the hotel,.
Only let down was the breakfast buffet, shocking! A tasteless pile of cold food, I am not fussy but it really was inedible.Don't waste your money, go to the shopping complex near by.

“Easy for Bristol Shopping and Attractions”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

Visited in November and found this hotel to be og good standard. Good menu for dinner and a good wine selection. Access to shopping and all of the center of Bristol. Also only a mile from the station and trains to Bath.

Room Tip: Ask for a room over looking the park, you can see all across Bristol.

“A great place to stay - right in the centre of town”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 January 2012

I have stayed here on a number of occasions over recent years and my impression of this hotel has improved considerably over time. The staff are all polite and friendly - keen to help and check to see if customers are happy.
I had an executive room on the 9th floor - it was very clean and comfortable with bathrobes and slippers and a very comfy bed. One tip though - if you are someone who needs to either sit down to dry your hair - or you take a long time to dry it, then I suggest that you tyake your own hairdryer as the one in the room is attached to the inside of the wardrobe in the entrance corridor of the room (although there is a mirror on the door of the wardrobe).
Breakfast was very good, with a wide range of healthy options available.

“Convenient city centre hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 January 2012

Stayed one night at this hotel on 24 January whilst away on business. I found the service up to the usual good standard I've come to expect from Marriott and was given a room on the ninth floor. The room was clean and comfortable and, despite being close to a main commuter route through the city, pretty quiet.

I enjoyed an evening meal in the restaurant, which was over priced. Of course this is not unusual for hotel food and I would rather have eaten out but didn't get back to the hotel until late.

Room Tip: Pick a room on a higher floor if given the option as the hotel is situated by a busy road.

“Nice one night stopover”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 January 2012

Stayed here in Jan 2012 for just one night. Check in very quick and easy. Lovely clean and spotless room on the 4th floor. One slight problem was you could hear every noise from the road below (including emergency sirens) most of the night. Not deafening or the hotel's fault but background noise nonetheless. The staff were all very polite and could not be more helpful. There is an NCP carpark a few steps next door with a reduced rate if you are staying at the hotel. A very pleasant stay.

Room Tip: Ask for a room not on the road side
