Stayed here on the 6th.February for a conference that was booked in the Hotel for the next day. My room was on the small side and I would consider the bathroom very small, the bath was only about 2/3 of the size i would find comfortable and I am not exceptionally tall. There was also a very strong smell of cigarette smoke in the room and my colleague who was in the next room reported the same thing. Breakfast the next morning was ok but I have had better breakfasts with more selection in other Holiday Inns. A group of 5 of us had a meal in the Hotel's "fusion" restaurant in the evening and I would advise that you avoid the starters, a king prawn starter had only 4 prawns and that was indicative of the very mean size of all the starters. Main courses were much more generous and the quality was of a reasonably good standard.
I was however very happy with the conference facilities, the room booked was of a good size and all the equpment we ordered was available, the only minor complaint was a lack of blackout blinds in the Orchard suite which were necessary when the sun shines. The refreshments supplied during the day, and especially the buffet lunch, were of a very good standard. I would also like to compliment the staff that dealt with us on the "business" part of our stay as they were all very helpful and went the extra mile to make our event succesfull.
