We spent Saturday night here. Really can not understand the negative reports about this hotel. The room was clean, and all you would expect from an Ibis hotel. The room was quiet and the staff most helpful. The breakfast (which we booked on line at half price) was excellent and continually replenished. Very near Cabot Circus. Would recommend.

For what is described as a basic hotel,this place exceeds one's expectations!
It is in a trendy area near the water with a good choice of restaurants nearby. The walk into the town cenre was pleasant by the water and great sights of Bristol.
Hotel staff were really attentive and helpful. The dining area was clean and the menu was good. There were a few computers in the open plan lobby.
The area felt safe at all hours if you are a solo traveller.

Come on what do you really expect from a 'budget' hotel, well I wasn't expecting this bright, clean and cheerful one, maybe it's just new - no idea really but it beats the competition!

The only issue, sorry 2 issues I have - no toilet brush I know some people are real pigs when using a toilet but really for those of us who have some decency a toilet brush wouldn't go amiss.

The 2nd issue (and by far the more important) booked a wake call for 7am, yep you guessed it didn't happen! Just as well we had backups in placed, I would've been seriously p*&&£d if I woke up late and missed that job interview - especially in todays climate. Oh and not a touch of concern by reception - well I suppose it couldn't be perfect the price says it all.

I stayed in this hotel from 09/01/2012 until 13/01/2012, it is a basic budget hotel so do not expect luxury. The rooms are classic Ibiz with the telephone box size, all one piece bathroom with intermittent hot water. If your a light sleeper this is not the place for you, the walls are so thin that when your neighbour's alam goes off, your awake as well and you can then listen to their TV and shower as they get ready for their day. Breakfast is passable, service intermittent. If you need wifi then the only option this hotel offers is get your wallett out and pay £9.99 per night. I complained that this service was not available and was advised I could either pay up or use the publice PC in the lobby. Not much good for connecting to a business network to do some work. I was due to stay here for a further two weeks but thankfully my company moved me to another hotel with wifi access free of charge.
