“A great place to stay if visiting this area”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 January 2012

We stayed here when we attended an evening event at Woburn Abbey. We stayed in a standard room which was not big but had a large comfortable bed and all the amenities that you would wish for. The en suite bathroom was immaculately clean. No room for a separate shower, over bath with shower curtain. Bottled water, tea and coffee facilities and biscuits. The rooms are not very soundproof, so be warned if you are intending to be noisy! Breakfast was good, not great, little variety and kept warm rather just cooked, but we were a little late. They did however do great poached eggs. Note that the room rate includes entrance to Woburn Abbey, so make sure you check in first before visiting the grounds.

“Great Stay - Thank you”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 December 2011

The reviews are true. Great, polite and helpful staff. Very clean rooms and quiet too (311).

Brilliant stay.

If you're going to Woburn - stay here.

Room Tip: I asked for a room not facing the parking area - for a quiet room (had a baby with us)

“Made a special day extra special !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 December 2011

Just returned home after our son's wedding reception. The venue had been chosen after much research and did not disappoint, from the early check in at 11am to the separate breakfast room for the wedding party the following morning, everything was done to the highest possible standard.

Every member of staff was courteous, friendly and eager to please. The atmosphere in the hotel was warm and welcoming. All in all we had a perfect day.

Thank you for your review following your stay with us in December.

You are kind in taking the time and trouble to inform us how much you have enjoyed your stay with us. Your comments on the team are also much appreciated.

Please do not wait until you have to attend another wedding in the area for staying with us! As you will know we have in Woburn a lot to offer: from a day trip to the Abbey and gardens, a visit to the safari park, a round of golf at the Club, a delightful meal at the Inn...

I look forward to welcoming you back soon at the Inn.

“Lovely, friendly hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 December 2011

I have stayed at The Inn on many occassions over the years. I have always found it to be a warm and welcoming place to stay with lovely staff who will do everything they can to help you. Dan in Reception is worth a special mention for his helpfulness, but all of the staff are great.
I have just returned from a weekend stay (2 nights). My room had been recently refurbished and was very nice. I was really pleased to see there are now duvets on the beds - I never got on well with blankets! My only slightly negative comment would be that the toilet seemed a bit low!! My room was warm and clean and the bed was large and very comfortable. I experienced no noise problems from adjacent rooms or from the corridor.
On arrival I had lunch in the bar which was very tasty and good value. Breakfast was very good, hot and cold with a good choice of each. The toast could have been a little more 'done' but that is a minor quibble. Evening meals were absolutely delicious and beautifully presented.
I was staying as part of a group using one of the conference rooms as our base. As usual we were treated very well and supplied with everything we needed for our weekend, with the staff more than willing to help in any way they possibly could.
Thank you David for another lovely weekend.

Room Tip: The rooms that are not on the car park side are quieter.

“Dad's 80'th party at Woburn”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 December 2011

We first looked up on Tripadvisor & then visited the Inn at Woburn, before booking what was an important family occasion. Not wanting anything to spoil our important day, we were careful, and the research proved fruitfull.

The hotel is beautifuly appointed, but traditional and not too pretentious. All the staff were very attentive with friendly smiles and a seemingly genuine wish to be helpful. We were situated in the bar area, around, (and in!), the huge fireplace and more chairs were brought over to accomodate the twelve adults and several grandchildren.

We opted for the 'afternoon tea' which, with a small delay, was served on high cake plate things, (sorry, can't remember the name for the them), and although it did'nt look a lot, (at £16.25 per head), actually was filling and tasted fine. Five minutes later, a few more dishes came out with Marmite & cucumber sandwiches. Unusual and, (unlike mentioned in other reviews), were liked and vanished quickley.

My father and stepmother said their (ground floor), room was lovely and staff were also attentive to their needs. They also ate in the restaurant on the previous evening and were very impressed, (and they know about quality dining).

Would I recommend The Inn? Certainly. We had no issues with the staff or the hotel and will use it again, first to try out the excellent restaurant, but also next time we need a party venue.

Our thanks to the management & staff.
