My friends & I, all aged 22, went to Tree Adventures yesterday & had such a fantastic day!
The setup here is just great! The company actually work out of a container, but the staff were great. They get you all harnessed up & then give you a safety briefing where you get to practice to make you sure you know what to do before starting the courses.
We were supposed to do courses 5-8, but course 5 was closed so we got to do 6-9 instead (9 normally has an extra charge & is the Expert course).
The good thing is you dont have to do the courses in order so you can just start on whatever number you want (within the course numbers you have paid for).
The setup is fantastic, most courses start with a ladder up to platforms, then there are combinations of swinging logs, balancing beams, tightrope walks, tarzan swings, & all courses end with a flying fox - All several meters high through the trees.
The whole time you feel safe because you are always attached to a cable (they teach you this in the safety briefing). A couple of people in my group were afraid of heights but they managed to get through all courses (except 9 which they didnt attempt), but the good thing is, you can just take your time, & it is possible (but not recommended) to overtake someone once you get to a platform.
It wasnt very well signposted coming from the North, but there is a bit of signage coming from the south. Just follow the big green arrow that points to 'Woodhill Forest.'
I would also suggest taking plenty of water, although be aware that there are only 3 little green buildings for toilets - portaloos. & they were pretty disgusting! I would suggest trying not to drink lots of water if you think you will need the loo because they were not pleasant at all!!! Also there isnt really anywhere to store gear so it is best left in your car. Carpark is right there & is visible from the trees, & you can leave your keys at reception.
Overall I would recommend this to anyone, the kids will have a great time on the lower courses & adults can challenge themselves on the more advanced levels.
