Common kitchen/lounge was very comfortable, clean and well-equipped. The patio deck and lawn are just beautiful and extremely peaceful. Owners Yvonne and Ken were wonderful, helping us out with everything we needed and giving tips about things to do in Piha and around. Highly recommended!

Lovely place, great facilities like spacios common area even with fireplace, huge kitchen, nice garden, very friendly owner, a great price/quality ratio. Would highly recommend a stay and come back any time. Thank you for making our stay such a fantastic one!

I stayed there for approximately 3 weeks. I had a great stay, and I am willing to come back soon. The backpacker is always clean, very practical and comfortable. It really is like a big house you could stay at, with all the comfort you would need and expect if it was your own bach. Plus, the owners are very nice and welcoming.
If you are into surfing, the beach is less than a 10 mins walk. If you are into hiking, the backpacker is ideally located close to some beautiful walks.

If you are going for AWOL. This is a great place for your stay. It's extremely near venue of the adventure. Otherwise, this is a place to relax and slack. And if you are self-driving, please ensure you have a GPS or you will have difficulty getting to this place.
If you are not cooking, there's only Piha cafe and RSA which we find that food is good.
