Our car was damaged in full view of CCTV camera 3 in the hotels private and 'secure' car park, that costs £5 for the night. However, there is a complete and utter lack of customer care. The manager was completely unwilling to review the cctv footage and has failed to return our calls.

Nice hotel on main road. Staff most helpful.
Room was small but modern & nice & warm.
Bedding was spotlessly clean. Nice bathroom.
Bargain rates for B&B & given vouchers for 3 free drinks each.
Free Bucks Fizz available at breakfast.
Plenty of parking space at this hotel.

Our room the first stay (through booking.com) was very small by U.S. standards but quite the norm for U.K. It was however, very clean and comfortable. Had to turn heat way down as bathroom radiator was on some sort of master switch. Problem was, it was too cool when I wanted to shower and to warm rest of time. Mattress was a tad soft but not bad. They don't use mattress pads much in UK we found, but they will cook you in a down comforter! Just a duvet over comforter so it was either use the comforter or you had no covers on you at all; it was so warm we could have done w/just a sheet. Also, had to ask for washcloths (facecloths) but they provided them cheerfully. Had to wind down very musty hallways to get to room, walk was quite far, plus have to negotiate stairs to even get into the lobby! Restaurante looked quite elegant but prices for breakfast were too high, 16 pounds I believe. On our 2nd stay (booked via phone) we got our room 10 pounds cheaper plus they gave us a larger room w/a king bed, which was in much better condition than the first one, which was a double. Loved the tea tray and kettle, complete w/cookies and tea/coffee/milk replenished daily. Staff were friendly except for one female desk clerk. We never saw anyone else in the halls; felt like we were only ones there. It was quite quiet for sleeping which was nice.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this Hotel. Competent, friendly staff. Nice, clean room with decent TV and Tea and Coffee facilities. The evening meal was great, lovely and tasty and the breakfast was an excellent hot buffet with fresh fruit and cereals. Nice bar area.
