Its unfortunate that there is not a website for hotel owners to review guests, good and bad. We run a fairly quiet hotel and we have a policy of 11pm being quiet time in the halls and common areas.
The weekend mentioned was a minor hockey weekend and we did have issues with some guests being unruly and perhaps drinking a wee bit too much.
I am not saying that was a problem with this guest but it was a problem.
In the dauphin Herald there is a letter to the editor that thanks us for the service and quality of the hotel and its facilities, specifically the pool. It is quite surprising that the reviewer criticizes the pool since it was the first weekend being opened after being closed for a month for a complete renovation including a new pool liner and fresh paint through out the pool area. The pool was very busy with over 100 kids staying at the hotel so perhaps he was tripping over towels dropped by the kids.
There is carpeting in all the rooms so I dont know how the floor would be sticky unless he is referring to the entrance way which is ceramic tile and could have had some moisture from snow being brought in on the shoes of the kids.
Our house keepers receive compliments on a regular basis as to the cleanliness of the rooms. We apologize if the room was not up to your expected standard.
We have made significant improvements to the internet, including two new managed networks, wireless access points and routers. Our property is located at the end of the service line for the internet provider in the community. Being full for the weekend and with all the kids in the building using numerous wireless devices, band width does get used up and unfortunately the service may in fact slow down. We have been working with MTS on this issue for two years now and we will continue to upgrade our free service to our guests.
The free breakfast is a fairly standard continental breakfast and our selection is above and beyond the required items of Super 8.
We continually restocked the vendors during the weekend but again with over 100 kids in the building there was a lot of pressure on the pop & chips.
It is unfortunate we did not meet this guests high expectations but we do invite him to stay at one of the other fine hotels in the community and perhaps provide another review as to how we rate with them.

It is unfortunate this guest chose to resolve a separate issue thru this forum. We have cancelation policies in place to ensure that guests receive the rooms they have booked. Ours is not a perfect system but we are continually striving to improve our service to you our guest.
The comments about dirty & rude are uncalled for and totally inaccurate. We are the newest facility in the community and we are continually upgrading and improving our facility.
Recently we invested significantly in improving the wireless high speed internet service as this is a very important feature our business guests require.
We have just finished replacing the 105 beds we have in the hotel and are proud to say all our rooms feature new Simmons Beds with Protect a Bed encasements on all beds to ensure no unwanted visitors during your sleep.
We have upgraded controls and systems in the pool and hot tub areas to provide bathers with a clean stable experience.
We are in the process of replacing and upgrading all our linens, bed coverings, curtains, blankets and pillows. We are continually re-investing into the property.
Our house keepers work tirelessly to keep the hotel clean and a facility we can be proud of.
Ours is a family owned and operated facility. We are affiliated with Super 8 but we are the owners. We want to own a facility we can be proud of and can rent to you with confidence.
