Rooms were dated, but overall a very comfortable stay. The breakfast in the restaurant was great- filled with local people from the island.

I think it was a bit over priced for essentially a motel... that said our room & bathroom were clean, the views were nice, we slept alright both nights, and breakfast was good.

We also really enjoyed the areas wineries, despite the torrential weather we had. I'd recommend Norman Hardie Wines ($$-$$$) for some really distinct chardonnay and, Sandbanks ($-$$) for some very reasonable bold reds.

It was a nice place to stay....they will only accomadate you if you plan on staying for 2 nights.

I read that to my husband and he said 'where we stayed??' and then laughed out loud.
As previous posters have stated: moldy tiles in bathroom, completely gross carpets (definitely left shoes on all the time), crappy AC. We were supposed to stay two nights.. After our first night (sleepless due to the heat - crappy AC), I just wanted to leave. I didnt even bother complaining.
Funny thing is this was our third time. In 2008/2009, we stayed, but on the third floor. Obviously those stays were ok b/c we came back for a third time.. but 2nd floor this time round. Not sure this should make a difference. But we definitely won't be coming back.
Renovated? Really? In what world would they think the Harbour Inn 'was recently renovated'??
