We spent one night here on the way to Banff. It is a newer facility, clean, nice breakfast.

We recently spent a night here and were quite dissappointed. When we got to our room, I opened the door and it stunk of cigarette smoke. I immediately went back to the front desk and requested a non-smoking room, and the lady at the front desk told me the whole building was non-smoking. I told her our room reeked of smoke and she was very quick to move us to another room. The second room didn't stink of smoke, but the carpet had not been vacuumed. There were bits of stuff all over the floor. There was also a big black hair on one of the pillows. Because it was very late (and we had been driving all day) and the rest of the room was OK (the beds were clean, after we tossed the hair-pillow on the floor, and the bathroom was clean) we just went to sleep. However, it didn't take long to realize that the building was made of cardboard. It was NOISY. We heard people talking all night in the rooms next to us and heard every little noise in all the adjoining rooms and in the halls. We won't stay here again.

Not the nicest Best Western I have stayed at. The beds are soft, the water in the toilet constantly ran and there was a constant motor running noise outside the window. The free breakfast was limited and lacking in quality. Although the rooms were non smoking the hallway constantly smelled of smoke. For $140 per night it is by far the worst value for a hotel I have stayed at.

We had a room on the second floor with 2 queen sized beds. It was a beautiful room and the hotel was beautiful, but above us was there was a small child that ran around at all hours of the night. The hotel must have been cheaply built if you can hear people above you.

Another thing was the fact that we had booked a non-smoking room. Now we have alergies and are non-smokers so the smoke bothers us. We were lucky this place was new because the smell was not bad.

Another problem is the free breakfast ends at 9:00 so you have to get up early if you want breakfast.

We had a pretty good sleep other than the noise and we got up early and went to have a shower but there was no hot water.

We had booked 2 nights so in the morning we asked if they had another room, but they did not so we checked out.

Overall this was a beautiful new hotel and the whole building was very clean, but because of these problems we would probeley choose the Super 8 across the street.
