This was our third stay at BayView B&B. We absolutely love BayVew B&B and West Vancouver and Vancouver. We have stayed in many B&Bs, and by far, BayView is the very best! In fact, it is the Gold Standard of B&Bs.

BayView B&B is extremely clean and quiet, two of our top requirements for a stay away from home. But that is just the beginning. The view from BayView B&B is absolutely incredible, Vancouver and the Lion's Gate Bridge are visible across the bay. The hosts, Jim & Gwen, are kind, helpful, and always have your best interest at heart. They also have a friendly dog, Simon, who is always ready to play fetch. And the breakfasts are fabulous, each morning there are eggs and a variety of breakfast foods along with fresh baked goodies...served with delicious coffee and juices. The English garden in the back is lovely, it is private and feels like you are in the countryside, not a neighborhood.

Vancouver and West Vancouver offer so many things to do and see, we never tire of visiting the area. And when we do, we always make sure there is room for us at BayView B&B. Once you've stayed at BayView, nothing else compares to it. Try it and you'll see, it is truly the Gold Standard of B&Bs.

BayView Bed and Breakfast ist a perfect place to stay in Vancouver. It's located in a quiet neighborhood not far away from Downtown Vancouver, Lions Gate Bridge and Stanley Park. The rooms are wonderfull endowed and decorated. At the Green Gables Suite you have a perfect view over English Bay and Prospect Point in Stanley Park. Restaurants and grocery stores are next by and it's also well connected with the public transportation. Not to forget the very delicious breakfast, the home baked goods (every day!!!) and the warm-heartet and helpful hosts Gwen and Jim! It's a place to feel like home and to make friends!

I spent 9 nights at BayView when visiting my sister and brother in law who arrived in Vancouver in1947 and retired in W Van. I enjoyed the quiet and comfortable Victorian Suite with its panoramic view, day and night. The breakfasts with home-cooked items were delicious. One morning, my family forced me to take an early ferry, so I missed one - an error.
I am hoping to return with family next year and occupy the whole house.

Bayview is not only owned and hosted by the most wonderful couple but is a fabulous location to see Vancouver. Gwen and Jim are very thoughtful and helpful; ably assisiting with maps, guides, travel advice and restaurant info. Their home is beautiful and almost like staying in an English Historic Country House. Fabulous views of Vancouver and English Bay, fabulous breakfasts, friendly, homely atmosphere, best nights sleep I have had in a long time( Didnt want to go back to my bed at home!). If you want to explore the city and tourist attractions but also occasionally go slightly more local for dinner or even eat and relax at home, this is the place.
