We have been travelling to the Laurentians for years and we have always enjoyed the area and never been let down until we stayed at Motel Le 60 in March '09.

The room was freezing and we had to keep the furnace at the highest number and stuff the door with paper to try and keep the cold wind from blowing in. The bathroom was very dated, dusty and far from clean. There was a disgustingly rusted curtain rod at the bottom of the tub, for what use I can't figure out.

On a small poistive note, the view from the room at night was decent when the slopes across the highway were lit. The kitchen was quite old, but adequate for our breakfast needs.

With all the affordable and clean accomodations in the Laurentians, we will definitely stay elsewhere in the future.

My family and I are regular customers at motel 60 and have been going there for both winter and summer vacations for a number of years now. After recently referring it to some friends, we were informed of mixed reviews on trip advisor so I have decided to write my own review, which is something I never thought I would actually take the time to do.
Being a regular customer, I was shocked to see that some people or teenagers (who's comments I had a rather difficult time reading due to a lack of french grammatical basics) complained about the cleanliness of the rooms as they have always been spotless, as are the surroundings and the pool area. Had they not been, I obviously would not be back so often.
I have stayed in the condos, the suites and the regular rooms as well as in other hotels in the area and have never been disapointed here. In my opinion it is the best value around. The staff is friendly, the place is clean, the prices are reasonable, what more can you ask for?

My husband and went to this place for a weekend getaway. We booked a suite because of the jacuzzi and fireplace. Upon arrival into the room, we were greeted with the smell of cigarette smoke that smelled up the room for the entire weekend. The furniture is outdated, the bed was a futon mattress and the sheets looked like they had been there for 50 years. If we hadn't already paid I would have run from there back home! I would not recommend this place unless you are a group of teenagers looking to spend the night and party and you don't care about the smell and nasty accomodations.

My wife and I found this gem of motel in the Laurentian Mountains about one hour north of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. We stayed for 7 days over Valentines and absolutely loved it.The location is superb with easy access to main motorway routes north and south. The cost of the accommodation was excellent value for money and we were made to feel very welcome by all the staff who spoke fluent english and french. The rooms are very spacious, well equipped and immaculate. The views from all the rooms focus on Saint Sauveur ski hill which is beautifully flood lit at night and known as "the valley of the stars" The skiing is virtually on your doorstep and if like us you enjoy a relaxing time on the slopes without all the crowds then this is the place to be.
The motel offers a good selection of accommodation ranging from self catering double bedrooms to luxurious suites and condos. The owners have a gorgeous wee dog called "Ruby" which we became quite attached to and I think she quite liked us too!
As for restaurants there were around 80 in the village giving a varied selection of dishes to suite every ones taste - prices ranged from cheap and cheerful to gastronomique quality.
We cannot recommend this motel enough and have to say a special thank you to Normand and his team for making us feel so welcome so far from home. Booked up for valentines 2009 already!!!!
