“Manager and staff are terrible.”

This is a hotel you must avoid at all cost. We booked here only because all the other hotels were booked. They go out of there way to make you feel unwelcome. The manger (TJ) is a total jerk. Tj must have trained is staff because they to are very rude. They put out the half as much food for breakfast as you need, and then are rude to you when you ask for more.

If i owned this hotel i would be very disappointed with management and staff after reading all the reviews for this dump.

“Significant decline”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 October 2011

When this hotel first opened it was an excellent budget alternative. Significant decline noted including stains on sheets, hairs on other bedding, tv remote didn't work; old style tv; fridge froze drinks; pillows less than 1/2 inch thick; towels extremely thin; overall appearance of needing upgrade and/or better cleaning. That said when complaint was given the following morning at check out, hotel staff did take money off the bill and apologized. With some new competition arriving in the city though efforts must be made to make this more appealing and competitive. I will not stay here again nor allow any friends/family/business associates to choose this hotel.

“Won't be back”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 June 2011

Stayed here because I could not get a reservation anywhere else in town, and I won't be staying here again. First, the place looks run-down from the outside, although they are repainting or resurfacing the outside of the hotel. Room itself was spacious, but my sheets had stains on them and the air conditioning didn't work. I also found it very noisy outside the hotel all night long. All in all I would not come back to this hotel - the Best Western looks much nicer and has gotten better reviews.

“Not so good.”

I was in Yorkton on business recently and stayed at the Comfort Inn.On first glance, it appears to be a nice looking hotel.Closer up, you can see the wear and tear of the place. To be fair, they appear to be doing some type of reno on the outside. However, the rooms are very dated as is the rest of the hotel. Beds are average at best but the sheets are full of holes. I was on the main floor and stayed there 2 nights. Each night I would get a smell of sewer coming from somewhere. I figured it must have been the bathroom and closed the door for the night. Lampshades are torn and the curtains in my room were ripped. It's true there are a lot of work crews who stay here. I guess I was lucky as it was a fairly quiet stay for me. Breakfasts were okay. The best part were the waffles. The staff were, for the most part friendly. They station themselves a lot in the breakfast room during the day or are outside the main doors smoking. The wireless internet was not available on the first night. Had to use their business centre which is located right in the lobby. It worked the second night. Other hotels nearby looked worse than this one. The HoJo looked like it was about to fall apart. We had a business meeting at the Ramada and the hotel there did not look much better than this one.I don't get it.I would think there would be a new hotel or two to pick from in Yorkton. With all the construction going on there, I wish they would construct a decent hotel to stay in.

“Gotta admit, its not a bad hotel, there is worse”

I stay at this Comfort Inn & Suites in yorkton, they have good staff that take care of problems like a room change or something, and i stay here lots because of my work.Close distnace for walking to the mall, walmart, and a variety of fast food right near this place.I know they have had internet problems in the past, and theyre working on it, but it still remains choppy most times, so dont rely on it if you need it for business work.A tip i recommend, reserve a room, and get a confirmation number when you do, ive learned it to be important there when booking ahead of time! The early morning staff are helpful to me, and the free breakfast is enough to get you going.Rooms are to be expected, but your there to sleep after all.get a suite in this place, worth the extra bucks, if you want to feel more at home.Theyres not more budget minded places around. This place also has the magnetic attraction of road crews who get in late as a last choice, and ive gone thru lots of night of noise and roudy parties that have happened there, but you lock your door, and try to sleep anyhow.Just get up early and hit the breakfast room, before the masses take it over.Im not saying this is an all time occurance, but of all the times i stay ther, usually in 2 week durations, ive seen everything there.Just my tips on staying there,so dont be afraid, beacuse there is way worse down the street!
