Stayed here for thankfully only one night, check in was poor, they did not explain how to lock the room door the room was vert old and had moZies in it, the hotel pool is tiny and really old, we came back to find our room Door wide open, there was no Safe box in the room but we Had already put our stuff with check in , that was close , the room was 235 bucks and breakfast was not included ,I generally felt uneasy at this place, I would not recommend this place to anyone, poor show!!!

Don't take room facing the road, stayed 3 nights never slept with traffic noise and noise from bars at end of road. Room decor dated, rooms constructed of timber so a bit like sleeping in a summerhouse. Garden furniture for dining room table and chairs, and cane sofa which was worn out and uncomfortable.. Bed was hard, amd walls were paper thin so we could here snoring from next door. Limited TV channels. Room was only quiet between 2am & 6am. Expensive for what you get. Good points - good cooking facilities, good cooking facilities, and close to the nice beach. Can't comment on rooms at rear of motel.

Rented their "cottage" which was beautifully decorated and well apponted. Master bedroom was glorious and we awoke to a beautiful view over the Hauraki gulf. Takapuna beach a stones throw away as are the many restaurants / bars in Takapuna.

Great place and would definately go again!

We stayed for a week and loved the Emerald Inn.
Our rooms were so spacious, spotless and beautifully decorated.
We had super facilities in the kitchen and so many complimentary items that we didn't know what to do with them.
Superb location and a highly recommended place to stay.
