I can't remember what floor we were on but we had an excellent view of Auckland.
Room was well equipped, clean and modern. Staff were helpful and although we didn't use the restaurant, it looked very nice. All this, plus, only a ten minute walk to the beach!

Stayed over CHristmas for 2 nights but have stayed many other times. The staff are very friendly and the rooms are excellent value for money. Buffet breakfast is great. Recommend the location, views and hospitality.

Stayed at the Spencer for 3 nights over the Christmas break, the most amazing view from the apartment, out the bedroom you could see the harbour and city skyline, and from the living room the hauraki gulf and rangitoto. Lobby and restaurant looked as though they had been refurbished, and the service and food at breakfast was great. Service in general was always very friendly and efficient, room service arrived quickly. It also has a great pool and spa area with views to the city. The slight negatives, (but the positives far outweighted these) was the room itself looked a bit tired, and could do with a refurb to modernise it - especially the TV was very old and the shower leaked onto the floor. However apart from this I would definately recommend this hotel, as great value for money with views and service to match, as for myself I would not hesitate to return so it gets my tick of approval.

Nice hotel rooms are good old tvs to small and wires hanging below spoilt what is a nice room
