Was upgraded to Jacuzzi Suite since it was the only non-smoking room left. Wireless only available in lobby. New hotel, TV in room from 1980's had a bad tube and lightbulb burned out in room. Would have given 3 stars except I was upgraded at no charge.

Everyone who works there were so nice and helpful, the rate was only 129.00 a night.

We stayed at the Lakeview two times, on our way north and again south on the Alaska Highway. Besides not having any view of any lake, it is very acceptable. The room was clean and plenty of space for two of us. The breakfasts were nothing special but diverse enough to satisfy. For this part of the world, this is a good place to stay.

We were really impressed by this hotel. From the moment we walked into the lobby it was obvious that the establishment had a "cared for" feel. The receptionist was polite and patiently explained all that we needed to know, including providing us with a data cable as wifi might not be good in our room and some useful suggestions about where to eat out that evening.

Our room was a good size and came fitted with mini kitchen, was clean and tidy and there were DVDs available to borrow free of charge as well as complimentary tea / coffee avaiable in the lobby, all of which were most welcome.

As with many hotels the complimentary continental breakfast was sufficient for our needs, with a good selection of foods and a member of staff on hand to check that everything was kept well stocked and clean and tidy.

Overall we were really pleased with our stay here and only regretted that we did not accept the receptionist's offer to book us into another hotel within the chain for when we reached our next destination - they were full and we had to look elsewhere.
