The front desk staff at this Super 8 were very pleasant and knowledgeable. They definitely are worth whatever they are being paid!
The hotel rooms were quite expensive for what you got, but from what I understand, that's Fort Nelson for you. The mattresses on the beds were severely stained, to the point where you could see the stains through the sheets. There was garbage behind the nightstand that was so old it was dusty. The floors looked like they needed a good vacuuming. The bathroom floor had a fair amount of hair on it that did not belong to my husband or I.
Because we checked in late and had to be on the road early the next morning, I never bothered to complain. The girl at the desk was so nice I didn't want to make her life difficult because of the housekeeping staff's shortcomings.
The checkout process was quick and painless, however, I was distraught to see how dirty the lobby had become overnight. Someone with heavy duty work boots tracked silty mud all through the lobby and elevators, to the point where there was no safe place to set our luggage down, so we had to toss it on the lobby's couch.
We were checked out of the hotel by 8:30am, and by that point, there was nothing left of the continental breakfast.
