Stayed here for a wedding in July. Unfortunately was put in a smoking room but hotel sold out. Room was just horrible - reeked of years of smoke. Old furnishings. Didn't even want to put my stuff down. Dark and felt dirty. Thought we could make a go of it - just a place to sleep but left very early in the morning because we just couldn't take another moment in the room. Only plus side is the cheap rate and the no two night minimum. Might be better on the non-smoking side. Check-in staff pleasant enough

This property is not up to HoJo standards. They have obviously done some work on the exterior but the rooms were outdated, the room was not clean, the electrical circuit was hanging out of the wall, and the room reeked of stale smoke and alcohol.

I want to Gravenhurst Howard Johnson to attend a wedding with a bunch of girlfriends. I have to say I had a great experience. The hotel was clean and the people working there are very polite and accomodating to my needs. I felt that if I needed assistance with something, the staff there were willing to help me with it. As well, the people there were very helpful with offering me directions to get to my wedding! I had a totally awesomke experience and felt like I can go back there!

We stayed at the Howard Johnson in Gravenhurst for a hockey tournament. There was a microwave and fridge in our room, as well as a coffee maker so we didn’t have to get up and ready before we had our morning coffee. The room was a good size, the sheets were clean, the beds were very comfortable, and the bathtub was clean!!(I’ve seen some pretty nasty ones in other hotels.) The hotel is located right in town close to everything. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable about the areas attractions. I’m thinking about coming back in the summer to see what else this town has to offer.
